Vienna is the younger brother of the Oktoberfest/Marzen style, and has less of the dark bread crust flavor of Munich malt and less caramel sweetness. In Mexico, Vienna has a touch of roast character to further dry out the finish, and this recipe emulates that variation of the style. North of the Border Vienna is a soft, rich red lager with a smooth dry finish, and sure to become one of your favorites, as it is mine.
